Name: 619 Larry OG Kush

Grade: A-

Type: Mostly Indica (About 75% Indica 25% Sativa)

Lineage: A unique phenotype of OG Kush.

Price: $20/gram, $60/8th, $110/ quarter, $210 half ounce /$400 ounce

Looks: Dank nugs dusted in trichomes. Medium green buds with a few pale brown hairs. Sticky especially when broken apart.

Smell: Sweet Pine, citrus and fuel.

Taste: Like the smell with the sweet pine and citrus being dominant. Excellent taste. Smooth vapor with moderate lung expansion.

Buzz: An immediately relaxing high felt from head to toe. The buzz is clean and clear with a slight headiness. Powerful and peaceful, but not overly sedative. Moderately euphoric. Good for the late afternoon and early evening.

Summary: A great tasting OG that won’t knock you out. The buzz is strong, but functional and a little headier than my favorite OGs. The buds were very nicely manicured and sticky.

Grade: A

Type: Mostly Indica

Lineage: A unique phenotype of OG Kush.

Price: $20/gram, $60/8th, $110/ quarter, $210 half ounce /$400 ounce

Looks: Hairy dank nugs. Dark and light green buds with a ton of orange hairs. Sticky when broken up.

Smell: Pine, citrus, earth and grass. There is a slight sweetness to the scent.

Taste: Like the smell with a piney and slightly sweet grassy flavor. Hit smoothly with heavy lung expansion.

Buzz: Heavy and sedating. Very relaxing and slightly euphoric. Good for sleep. Definitely a late night smoke.

Summary: This my second time sampling V.S.O.G. and I’ve enjoyed each batch thoroughly. I’m a fan of nighttime OGs and this one hits the spot. This strain can only be found at Green Works SD in San Diego.

Type: Mostly Indica (about 80% Indica/20% Sativa)

Lineage: A unique phenotype of OG Kush.

Price: $20/gram, $60/8th, $110/ quarter, $210 half ounce /$400 ounce

Looks: Hairy tightly trimmed nugs. Dark and light green buds with many orange hairs. Dense and especially sticky when broken up.

Smell: Pine, citrus and fuel with a subtle sourness to the scent.

Taste: Similar to the smell, but noticeably more sour on early inhales. Smooth vapor with moderate lung expansion.

Buzz: Clear and clean high. Immediately calming without being overly sedative. A bit of a creeper with heavier effects kicking in after about 15 minutes. Slightly euphoric and comfortable to the body. Good for the early evening and for chilling out.

Summary: A solid cut of OG with a nice sour taste and a desirable buzz that’s not overpowering. It’s a little headier than my favorite OGs, but very enjoyable nonetheless.

Type: Mostly Indica

Lineage: A unique phenotype of OG Kush

Price: $20/gram, $60/8th, $110/ quarter, $210 half ounce /$400 ounce

Looks: Chunky nugs that branch off into fingerling shapes. Soft, dank and sticky when broken up. Mostly dark green with burnt orange hairs and abundant trichome coverage.

Smell: Pine and citrus with a touch of fuel. Delicate OG scent.

Taste: Similar to the smell out of a vaporizer with a cooling citrus flavor noticeable on early inhales. Smooth vapor that expands in the lung.

Buzz: Relaxing and peaceful high that’s heavy to the body. The effects begin with an immediate head change that’s calming, clear and slightly spacey. The body effects are very comfortable and come on gradually. Heavy doses will lock you to the couch or help with sleep. Best for the evening or late in the afternoon.

Summary: The Vader OG at GW is one of the best examples of OG I’ve come across. I’ve sampled several batches and enjoyed them all thoroughly. The smell and taste aren’t overpowering, but I like them very much. The high is especially memorable; clean, clear and peaceful.

Xtreme Master Bubba Kush – Strain Review

Name: Xtreme Master Bubba Kush

Type: Indica (close to 100% Indica)

Lineage: Bubba Kush crossed with Master Kush

Price: $20/gram, $60/8th, $110/ quarter, $210 half ounce /$400 ounce

Looks: Dense and chunky; dark and light green with deep purple hues and orange hairs. As the bud is broken up, more purple is prevalent toward the stem. Caked in trichomes.

Smell: Musty and earthy with a sweet spiciness. Classic “Kush” aroma.

Taste: Out of a vaporizer, the taste was very similar to the smell; very earthy and musty. Earthier than many Bubbas I’ve sampled. The vapor was rich and smooth.

Buzz: Immediate heavy body buzz. Highly sedative. The head high was inactive and relatively clear. Classic “Kush” buzz. Slightly less euphoric than most examples of Bubba I’ve come across. Great for night time and lounging around. The high wasn’t especially long lasting, but was pleasant nonetheless.

Summary: If I looked up Kush in the dictionary, I would expect to see something like this. It looks like Kush. It has that deep earthy smell and taste. The buzz is heavy and relaxing. I found the effects to be less “goofy” and more sedative than straight Bubba, but very consistent with other straight Kush varieties I’ve had. Nice batch.

Lineage: Unique phenotype of OG Kush

Looks: Dank and dense; medium green with some orange hairs. Quite sticky with heavy trichome coverage.

The trichome coverage is especially noticeable when the bud is broken apart.

Smell: Classic OG scent. Pine, citrus and fuel. There is a subtle sweetness in the scent.

Taste: Like the smell with pine being dominant and a nice hint of citrus.

Buzz: Sedating stone predominantly to the body. It warmed my forehead and had me feeling relaxed. Had my eyes
droopy as the effects wound down. Good for late night.

Summary: The “V.S.” in V.S.O.G. stands for “very special or Very Superior,” and this one lives up to the billing. I slept like a baby after sampling some late in the evening. It was grown in Los Angeles and is a unique cut of OG only available
at Green Works. It goes by VSOG and/or Superior OG. It’s being made into seed form by Death Star Genetics.

The Cali Connection is is a Premier Seed Company created by some of the Best Breeders in Cali. Just met up with Swerve from the Cali Connection and chopped it up for a bit. He def knows what he’s doing with his projects and He brought down some of his Elite Genetics for me. I plan to run these seeds this month and have an all OG grow. We talked about Amsterdam and the THC expo. Let me just say well be hanging out a lot this year

I have quite a bit of seeds so I’ve decided to hold a contest on Hydrocanna.com with some of these seeds as prizes. Now i just have to find a good contest to have and get the forum fired up! anyone have some ideas???

Green Works SD Grow Class!

I started Nuggetry SD (now known as Green Works SD )in July 2009 and quickly found a big demand for knowledge with my collective members. A lot of people wanted to grow their own Meds but didn’t really know how to go about it.

So i decided to host a FREE Grow class so members can get good info and save some $ since most classes cost a pretty penny. Easy to say it became so popular we have a waiting list now. I try to cover everything they would encounter as well as have a good time. Lunch is on Nuggetry as well so we have a full stomach while we learn :}

Here are some pictures of the last class we had cloning all of our in house mothers we carry.

Here’s one of our members practicing her cloning skills. She’s already finished a whole grow with information from the beginners class she attended. Her Blue Dream was killer!

Merlot OG Kush (Vader)

Merlot Kush (Merlot OG) In 2007 I crossed my Grape Ape(reversed) with Angel Tear Kush and resulted some seeds, this was originally called Merlot Kush. I wasn’t really thrilled with the effect or growth and reset myself to cross my Grape ape into a Larry OG in April 2009. I sprouted 11 seeds later in late June and set them into flower august 1st. 9 weeks later we were hit by an onslaught of flavor and potency one could only describe as euphoric.

The Merlot showed a very vigorous growth pattern and held up to absorbing plenty of nutrients. This is an extremely branchy strain and bushes out almost uniformly without any topping. Plants that were topped sprouted twice as many nods and flourished higher yields. Growers should expect lots of golf ball and hand grenade nugs across their canopy.

Due to is weak branches, tying up branches will be required fairly early into flowering and scrogging is highly recommended. Expect deep purple with cool temps and a fairly easy trim job once you make it past the larger fan leaves. With an extremely high resin output this has quickly become one of my new favorite strains for the garden, although currently only available in clone only.

Odor Description: Sweet skunky scent that tingles the nose

Taste: A tart grape juice taste, bitter sweet
