I just smoked this in Eugene Oregon. The sack smelled like a blackberry bush not just blackberries, but blackerberry bushes. It was honestly one of the best ive smoked because of the unique smell and taste and the batshit crazy head high. Was dark green with blackish-purple spots intermitent and lots of crystals and orange hairs. Was in large packed nuggs.

From what I hear the original blackberry is a clone-only from Norcal northwards with an unknown lineage. VISC has a seed with a pedigree like blackberry, vertigo, or Canadian. I think our brothers to the north have a better handle on the blackberry. Blow some A/C for a few hours at night. The leaves and buds turn such dark red to black.

I grow indoor and only use organics… And prefer indoor to outdoor most the time. And I think a lot would agree. You do loose a lil taste but I have my ways of getting it to come out! You must just never smoked any good indoor.. Do you live in CA?

Great review – hit it exactly: "Couch lock" is pretty much the ideal 'activity' to partake in with this stuff. Extremely 'heavy' taste (to me, it felt like a 100% indica type, almost like purple kush in a way – although this is, in my opinion only, a bit more pleasant and long-lasting than purple) with a nice 'chill' feeling (a little bit goes a LONG way). Everyone is different, but for those who enjoy this type of high (wonderful for insomnia – it doesn't MAKE one sleepy, but it relaxes the body enough to get a great natural sleep with only a tiny bit of morning 'hangover'…20 minutes perhaps), only Super Lemon Haze's effects (to me) are more profound.
I agree with Alex and I was surprised to see someone else make the comparison but he is right it is very close to purple kush I haven't even tried it yet but I have one that is about six weeks into flower I touched it for the first time last night and smells just like pk but a little fruity can't wait

The lineage is actually Blackberry x Bubba Kush Katsu as far as I know, I'm friends with the guy that supposedly brought it up to Oregon from Cali. Blueberry x Afghani is Shishkaberry which is dank, but not BBK dank. I grow BBK and it's by far my favorite strain, and I have a lot of em (The White, Deadwood, Sweet N Sour Deez, Mango Skunk, Berry White/WWxBB, OG Kush Fire Cut, Shiskaberry, so many dank ass strains!). Vaping some BBK right now actually, that and Sweet N Sour are my faves! Oregon got that FIYAAAA!!! 503 Beeeeitches!
I have been smoking a cross between this and bubba kush… i have never smoked a more powerful indica… as scary as this might sound, its great driving weed, it brings my focus in i guess? All i know is if you want to have a great time, play "Acid Raindrops" by People Under The Stairs while driving on you way to grab a few tacos… best sunday afternoon ever.
There are different phenos of the BBK. Its a great yielding and very popular strain.

Ok so I have been a smoker and grower for over 25 years,,,,, I have organic and hydro grow experience…. and I like ever other toker with 25 years under his or her belt have a hard time even getting stoned. I have smoked in Amsterdam and Canada and so far BBK and Blue Dream are the only 2 strains Ive smoked in the last five years that actually get me stoned….

the BBK i had a few weeks ago blew away all the indicas i've tried before and after smoking it. it was dark green with a few dark purple areas, on the denser side but still grinder-friendly, and smelled very fresh-skunky (with underlying scents of berries/rotten fruits/used baby diapers). even in small (~0.2 to 0.3g per session) doses, it never failed to have me in bed asleep within 30 minutes.
I am trying another BBK strain tonite that smells slightly sweeter, less like rotten fruits, and doesnt have any purple to it… hopefully it works similar or better magic!
the initial body stone and euphoric feeling of any indica that's present in this hybrid strain helps a bit, but what really gets me in bed is BBK's unusual effect that has me both mentally and physically dizzy. To elaborate, I cannot keep thoughts together long enough to reach an answer or memory, but i also cannot mechanically coordinate my body as my mind sees/saw fit: rendering me grounded out of fear into the bed; your head and neck feel like an ejected jack in the box that can't seem to keep straight, but leaning to either shoulder.
also found at Elemental Wellness 2 weeks ago, which was less ammonia smelling and not as potent, but with dense, frosty, purple buds (more bag appeal).
~40 passed now. I had difficulty typing this message. When I look back at this message tomorrow, I'm probably gonna compare my grammar and sentence building to how I type sober or with another strain; I feel as if my usual grammar isn't second nature – requiring extra contemplation on what the next word in my sentence would be. to top it off, my eyes are getting even more dry, suggesting closing my eye lids. having a snack and some milk or tea to wash it down, and lay in bed listening to LSD til I doze off sounds like a good plan. =)

i just recently bought a clone of this and have been growing it for two weeks now. when i got it, the leaves were really fat and green, but not yet darker than green. now, the leaves have fat trichomes growing on it and the stems are turning purple and the leaves are so much darker now, like there is a transluscent film of purple over the dark green!! really truly amazing!!xD cant wait to see how the next few months turn out!!
