Hash Guy – Strain Review (That Dog)

Name: Hash Guy

Dispensary: Green Works SD

Grade: B

Type: Hybrid (about 60% Indica, 40% Sativa)

Lineage: Mr. Nice Guy x Hash Plant

Price: $15/gram, $45/8th, $80/quarter, $160/half ounce, $320/ounce

Looks: Leafy, compact nugs with a little give when squeezed. Mostly light green buds with a few pale orange hairs and moderate trichome coverage. Dank and sticky.

Smell: Earthy, tangy, spicy, slightly sweet and a little sour.

Taste: A tangy funky flavor similar to the smell. Smooth vapor with moderate lung expansion.

Buzz: Relaxing euphoric high. Clear headed, functional and creative with a comfortable body buzz. Tingling sensations were noticeable around my face and ears. Best for the afternoon.

Summary: A funky tasting hybrid with a pleasant high. A nice strain for outdoor activities.

Name: Cotton Candy Bubba Kush

Dispensary: Green Works SD

Grade: B+

Type: Mostly Indica

Lineage: Bubba Kush x Cotton Candy Kush.

Price: $20/gram, $55/8th, $100/ quarter, $190/half ounce, $350/ounce

Looks: Frosty, leafy nugs with some give when squeezed. Mostly light green buds with many pale brown hairs and heavy trichome coverage. Slightly brittle to the touch, but dank and sticky when broken up.

Smell: Piney, musty, sweet and spicy. The scent is earthy and slightly minty.

Taste: A musty, piney flavor slightly sweeter than the smell. Traces of mint were noticeable on early inhales. Rich and hearty vapor with heavy lung expansion.

Buzz: Strong, relaxing stone. Sedating, introspective and mildly euphoric. Numbing sensations were noticeable at the back of my head and down my shoulders. Heavy doses will lock you to the couch or put you to sleep. Best for late in the evening and bedtime.

Summary: An excellent tasting variation of Bubba Kush. I prefer the clear headed, narcotic style buzz of traditional Bubba Kush. This batch was stonier and more introspective than my favorite Bubbas.

Strain Review- Sour Diesel (That Dog)

Name: Sour Diesel

Grade: B+

Type: Mostly Sativa

Lineage: Mass Super Skunk crossed with 91 Chemdawg

Price: $20/gram, $60/8th, $110/ quarter, $210 half ounce /$400 ounce

Looks: Tightly trimmed nugs that are spongey when squeezed. Mostly lime green buds with burnt orange hairs peaking through.

Smell: Pine, citrus, fuel, earth and “funk.” The scent is slightly sour with hints of grapefruit.

Taste: A slightly sweet, funky flavor with traces of fuel and citrus. Smooth vapor with moderate lung expansion.

Buzz: Heady energetic stone. Cerebral, racy and slightly euphoric. Classic Sour Diesel effect. Best for day time.

Summary: A solid example of Sour Diesel. I’m not a fan of the Diesel buzz, but this has little to do with the quality of this batch.

Here is another episode with Kryptonite OG. This OG is very tastey like one of the first OG’s I used to hit.

Type: Mostly Indica (About 65% Indica, 35% Sativa)

Lineage: OG Kush crossed with Trainwreck

Price: $20/gram, $60/8th, $110/ quarter, $210 half ounce /$400 ounce

Looks: Frosty and leafy nugs. Light and dark green buds with dark orange hairs and very heavy trichome coverage. Brittle to the touch, but stickier when broken up.

Smell: Musty, piney, sweet, citrusy and a little sour. The scent is slightly funky.

Taste: Musty and funky flavor similar to the smell. Smooth vapor with heavy lung expansion.

Buzz: Mellow hybrid stone. Heady with a moderately strong body buzz. The stone is spacey and mildly euphoric. Slightly racy. Not couch lock-y. Best for the afternoon and early evening.

Summary: A funky tasting strain with a spacey stone. Headier and less euphoric than my favorite Kush varieties.

Type: Mostly Indica

Lineage: A unique phenotype of OG Kush.

Price: $20/gram, $60/8th, $110/ quarter, $210 half ounce /$350 ounce

Looks: Dense and chunky popcorn sized nugs with a little give when squeezed. Mostly dark green buds with a few orange hairs and heavy trichome coverage.

Smell: Pine, grass, citrus and fuel. The scent is slightly sour.

Taste: Sour, piney, citrusy and grassy taste with the flavor lingering nicely on the tongue after vaporizing. Smooth vapor with moderate lung expansion.

Buzz: Strong peaceful stone that’s heavy to the body. Stoney and spacey buzz that’s moderately sedative. I felt some numbing sensations through the back of my head and down my spine. Couch lock in high doses. Best for the evening.

Summary: A solid cut of OG. The buzz was heavy and the vapor had a pleasant and unique sour taste.
